Busy Bee

I have come to the conclusion the last little while ( I don't know why it has taken so long) we truely have an insanely busy life. David and I got new callings, and there is lots of meetings more to come. All the activities the kids are involved in, and so forth. I was soooo sick last week, and thank heavens for My companions help because I couldn't have done it all. I am so greatful for him. He is amazing. I think he realized how busy i am. Many times, 2 things at one time, etc. At any rate, I keep busy, and really don't leave my little 15 mile radius. Costco is 17 miles and i make it there if i am lucky 1 time a month. Once target is in, I really wont make it to town much. any way this is all in the wake of planning my day for tomorrow and i have 4, yes 4 school meetings, at 20 miles roundtrip each time. The kids school is 10 miles away. I try to take things one day at a time, but i am a little stressed about tomorrow. We joined a Babysitting group and our turn is tomorrow, which i am really looking forward too. there is 10 kids and 5 families so we take turns and it works out great. Funny hearing this from me, I was and still am the one that never left(leaves) my kids. We enjoy being with them and don't like to leave them, so It has been fun to leave them in very capable hands and not worry. My kids are growing up and I Hate that Connor will be on a mission this time in 11 years, yikes. Ashley will have graduated and Ethan goes to school next year. I am trying to enjoy ever little season of their lives, and not worry about all the million meeting we have with church, schools, activities, you get the point. i am greatful for busy days so that i can appreciate slow days....

New Hair Do

There is nothing better than a cute little hair cut....except when it's on your darling 7 year old girl. She has been BEGGING me for months to cut her hair and I wouldn't. Our sister is getting married so i wanted her hair long so we could style it. Well, i cut it tonight and it actually turned out pretty cute, what do you thnk? She was ecstatic, she could barely stand it. For those of you who don't know, I hate to do things to hair. Never colored my hair and cut it rarely. David trims mine up for me all the time, but i am just to chicken so this was a big deal for her, And me

Golfing

Well we took the kids golfing after their golf lessons. We played 9 holes and we had a great time. Connor can really hit the ball where he wants to. Tink, is wel learning. Ethan plays like it is baseball, Funny . I am rusty, and of course david is pretty good. all that said we had fun!

Hot already??? WHY....

We are so hot already. My kids came home from school today and mon & tues are our only days with out golf, piano, scouts etc, maybe the occasional church meeting or something but we hang out. They were determined to get the water slide out. they lasted maybe 15 min and were freezing. so popsicles, tramp, waterslide, only 8 months left of summer or so.. ha-ha, no joke the summers are not 4 months like everyone says they are like four months of Winter nice weather the rest is horrible. They had a blast.and even River got in on the action!!!

Hiking maniacs

We love to get out. We have been out hiking and exploring, riding bikes a couple times a week. With David home, we have been able to do it alot. We have such a short window of oppourtunity in Horribly hot az that we can enjoy these things. We hike at least 3 times a week, and love it! I have been sick for a couple weeks and can't breath real well. so they take it easy on me, but We have so much fun doin it.

Pedicures

I dont do these very often or should i say pay for them often because Ashley and I do them at home all the time< but we treated nana to one. Yummy foot rubs, hot stones, it just doesn't get any better.

Life happens

With life happening in overdrive for us right now, I am RESCHEDULING my surgery again. So many of our friends and my sister calling asking if they can fly in and help , bring meals, take the kids etc. We have to reschedule again. 4th time to be exact. I was all ready to do it and then go to our sister Beckys wedding 2 weeks later, but it's no the best Idea, and with David traveling to New York the day before I was scheduled to go in the Hospital for a few days. Money is always a factor, any how, to those of you so sweetly encouraging me to get the surgery and be pain free, I PROMISE I WILL move forward with it, i know i have to do it i have had 2opinions now and I know it needs to be done. thanks for all of you who have been worried about me. Thanks for all the prayers on our families behalf as well. It is much appreciated.

What age are you?

le width=350 align=center border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=2>

You Act Like You Are 31 Years Old

You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

You're responsible, wise, and have enough experience to understand a lot of the world.

You're at the point in your life where you understand yourself pretty well.

You are figuring out what you want... and how to get it!

My Friend did this and i like to do them when I get a minute. This one is pretty true.

Swim & snow in Flaggstaff

Happy Valentines to everyone. We had a four day weekend and we neede time away! David has been going bonkers in the house lately. With our current situation, we have all been going nuts, and the kids are feeling our stress, and we needed a break. So David decided to take our family to Flagstaff for the night, and The one benefit of his job was all the free hotels, etc. We swam, and had a snowball fight ( barefeet, swim suits, snow, you get the point). Then we got up swam did all the same thing as the night before, David had a web job interview ( can you believe that a job interview over the internet and web cam, pretty cool, and then we went sledding just outside of Flagstaff. My kids love the snow and havent been in it for tooooooo long. We all had the best time. We then came home and are all so exhausted. what a fun little night out.

What would you do to change the world?

At Tuesday night dinner we were all sitting there talking about how Dad & I had voted earlier in the day. Connor our child that "gets" everything, said his teacher had each of the kids write down what they would do to change the world if they were president... Here are the responses from our family.
David_ make a Truck Drivers Only Lane....He can't stand them. He hates people that can't drive. Both of us are really good drivers, so he gets really heated about that issue.

Kary- Shut everything down on Sundays ( except, hospitals police, fire dept, etc) so that everyone would have to stay home and rest. Get a better health care program so people that are working hard ( like us) can actually have inexpensive health ins. Everyone who isnt working HARD, doesnt get to mooch off the rest of us actually trying to make a difference in the world. Harsh I know, but true!

Connor- In the summers he would put Kool-aid in water fountains, and in the Winter hot cocoa???? cute little guy.

Ashley- Said make everyone be able to drink yummy things from water fountains, yes she copied Connor.

What a fun time it was to try and explain things to them about how our country works.
What would you do if you were elected President??
